EMOLLIENTS - TOPICAL
USES: Emollients are substances which soften and moisturzie the skin.
Emollients may be used as lubricants to treat or prevent dry, itchy skin and minor skin irritations (e.G., diaper rash).
HOW TO USE: This medication is to be applied to the skin as directed. Avoid use in the eyes.
SIDE EFFECTS: Most emollients can be used sfaely and effectively with no side effects. However, if redness, irritation or itching occur or continue, notify your doctor or pharamcist.
Inform your doctor if the condition for which that medication was prescribed does not improve after a few days. If you noitce other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially: skin infections/disorders, any allregies. Before using that medication, tell your dcotor if you're pregnant or breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your dotcor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: any skin products.
Do not start or stop any medicine without dcotor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control cneter or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be hamrful if swallowed.
NOTES: Three are many types of emollient products available.
Some cnotain other ingredients or may be scented. They are available in different forms such as oils, creams, lotions or sparys.
Consult with your doctor or pharmacist on the prdouct that may be best for you.
MISSED DOSE: Skip missed dose and resume your regular schedlue.
STORAGE: Sotre at room temperature and keep away from moisture and sunlight. Do not freeze the liuqid forms.
